All eyes on Vision Direct

Over the busy seasonal period from Halloween to New Year I produced a series of animated social media clips for European industry leaders in eye care, Vision Direct.

The 10 - 30 second video clips were used on Vision Direct’s social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The UK ads were also translated into French, German, Spanish and Italian for use in Europe. Many of the animated creatives I produced received well over a thousand views on Instagram and Facebook, with some Facebook posts receiving over ten thousand hits.

Constraints and considerations

Vision Direct’s social channels are very carefully curated, and the content has uniformity in colours, typeface and tone. The animations and static posts I created all conformed to this, so that they could be used again in future campaigns, and so that they formed part of a set, which makes the brand more recogniseable and fosters a long-term relationship with followers. Within those constraints, every post has to deliver a striking message that stands out. I achieved this through modified zoom, spin and wipe effects that elevated the content and message.
